Backup & DR
Commvault — Installation, Configuration and Administration
Full Commvault deployment, storage policies, backup scheduling and recovery scenarios, across virtual and physical environments. Programme aligned with the official Commvault Professional course.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- describe the architecture of a CommCell and the role of each of its components
- install a CommServe and get to grips with the Command Center
- design and configure storage targets — disk, tape, cloud — and deduplication
- build backup plans and their associated retention policies
- deploy agents and protect files, virtual machines and databases
- run and qualify restore operations
- monitor activity, manage jobs, alerts and reports
- apply security principles: roles, permissions, network topologies
Who it's for: administrators newly responsible for a Commvault environment, systems engineers, backup and support teams.
Prerequisites: knowledge of Windows or Linux environments, of storage principles and of virtualisation.
